Gabo Szerencsés - Flow collection
Introducing the new collection of one of our bag designers:
Gioza, Nami and Fortune Cookie – New Forms of Softness
“When I work on a new collection, many thoughts come together at once: functionality, formal experimentation, design ideas and personal experiences. All of this is complemented by emotions and reality, so that in the end truly usable, lovable objects can be created.”
The Gioza, Nami and Fortune Cookie bags represent a radically new direction compared to the previous Y and Trapezoid collections. I consciously moved away from the geometric forms I am known for and turned instead toward organic shapes inspired by Asian gastronomy.
The choice of materials has also softened: the focus shifted to gentler, more supple leathers that delicately follow the play of curved forms and their natural movement.
Gioza – A Playful Little Companion
The Gioza belt bag is the most characterful mini accessory of the collection. Its name comes from the iconic Asian steamed dumpling, whose form is echoed in the gathered construction created by the playful movement of soft leather.
Inside, the most essential small items can be safely tucked away, always within reach — while the bag itself almost feels like it is embracing us.
Nami – Gentle Waves for Everyday Life
The Nami backpack takes its name from the Japanese word for “wave.” For this piece, the starting point was the soft drape of the form and the natural movement of the leather.
As the smallest backpack in the collection, it is surprisingly spacious: ideal for city use, hiking, and travel alike. It fits a 13″ laptop, and organization is supported by multiple pockets and hidden compartments.
Its appearance is understated and elegant, characterized by a clean design and a refined overall look.
Fortune Cookie – Feminine Elegance
The Fortune Cookie shoulder bag is the most feminine piece in the collection. Its soft shapes are set in deliberate contrast with structural elements: the firmer base and handle provide stability, while the body of the bag remains light and flexible.
This bag is about everyday elegance — lightweight, easy to pack, yet with a subtle sense of structure that makes it not only practical, but also truly elevating to wear.
Three Bags, One Shared Idea
Gioza, Nami and Fortune Cookie respond to three different life situations, yet they are connected by a shared love of soft leathers, conscious form-making, and a commitment to timeless design.
“For me, these pieces are not about trends, but about creating objects that work well in everyday life — objects that are easy to love and that become personal over time.”
With this collection, the Gabo Szerencsés brand has expanded with a compact backpack, a feminine shoulder bag, and a youthful, practical belt bag — all crafted from high-quality leather with a timeless design approach.
